A Victim of Stereotyping …

Yes. I was a victim, a victim of stereotyping. I was so humiliated. *Sob*

It all happened one morning when I decided to take Chester with me to the local Deli. Obviously, it was beyond my better judgment. Dealing with Chester’s poor walking habits is more than enough on a Saturday morning, but I didn’t deserve this …

As I left the deli with my yogurt, a man and his son stops me. My first reaction was that he was going to pet Chester. Not the case. He stopped me to tell me that he stepped in dog poo. I look at him with a blank stare and he repeats that he’s got dog poo on his shoes. Now I’m annoyed. The heck does that have to do with me? So this man keeps repeating to me that he stepped in poo. So I tell him nicely, it wasn’t my dog. Now he’s telling me I should pick up after my dog, which I did, nearly 3 blocks away. This dude stepped in the giant pile dead-center of the sidewalk about 50 yards before the deli. I saw the pile on my way to the deli and recall speculating that such a large pile must either be of a giant dog or human. So I tell this guy that I pick up after my dog, the crap he stepped in isn’t my dog’s. Very nicely, I added that he should have watched where he’s walking and probably worry about his kid crossing the street ahead of him more than the crap on his shoes … What an idiot!

I have reach anagnorisis ....

... (and a managed to spell it right too!)

There are a great many things I have failed to write in my blog. I usually just ramble and ramble about nonsensical things. I almost never write anything of value. But today is different. Maybe because its raining out? Maybe because I am bored out of my mind? Maybe I've lost it?

In any event, today is different. Like the title, I have reach anagnorisis. I have been searching for something that doesn't exist. It's like Waiting for Godot. For the past 10 years, I have been seeking a profession that will keep my interest, keep me challenged and pay me money. Such a job doesn't exist. There's always a trade-off. You either get paid, but you're miserable. Over-worked and under-paid is the likely scenario. But for the most part, most jobs are just boring. And for those who probably enjoy their jobs, they're probably not getting paid for it.

But there is still hope for me. All I have to do is win the lottery. And YES! I shall have my dream job ... to be a lazy bum.

I finally found it ...

Its been almost two years, but I found it.

Dilemas ...

So Spring is finally here and of course, I haven't done much. I have been doing some running, so I have managed to lose a couple of pounds. Here's the worst part of it all - I had changed my wardrobe to accomodate my fatness. Now I've lost a few pounds and my pants have become a bit longer and a bit baggier. Mind you, all of this clothing is relatively new. So, should I buy new clothing? Get this clothing tailored? Leave it, because eventually I'll become lazy again and the fatness shall return? *sigh* The decisions of life.

My immediate need is ... I have several weddings coming up and pretty much, I don't have anything to wear. The dresses in my closet are in sizes of opposite extremes. Either its now too small or too big. What to do? What to do?

I did see a dress in the Bloomy's catalog that I really liked. Like usual, wasn't willing to spend a fortune on it, so I figured I'd wait it out until it goes on sale. But I think I waited too long because its no longer available anymore.

Other than this life altering decision, there isn't much else going on. Here's some other tidbits:

So, I've been at the new job for 1 month and 22 days. The company website counts it for you. Its the same routine as all of my previous jobs - if its screwed-up, its got my name on it. So nothing new. But I can't wait til summer hours kick in - I think I get to leave early on Fridays! Woo Hoo!!~!

Well, I'm not sure if it was an annoying email or gas prices, but Steve ran over his blackberry with his bike at the gas station. So we can say good-bye to the Kansas winnings! I am quite impressed that 600 lbs. running over that little hand held device only crushed the screen. The rest of it is still intact.

Happy Birthday Meghan! I still have that photo of you! What are you willing to trade, so that I don't post???

March Madness ...

Kansas won! We're in the money, we're in the money!

So far, new job is going okay, I guess. I got the opportunity to travel! Woo Wee!!~! Greensboro, North Carolina. As you can see, this is definitely an exciting place to be! On a busy weekday, you can see as many people on the streets of downtown Greensboro as you do in the scene of Times Square in "I am Legend." In addition, made a trip to Mohegan Sun. Managed not to go completely broke. Yes. The complete opposite mentality of my previous post. At least, I managed to return home with a shirt on my back.

Finally got around to celebrating my birthday. Thank you everyone for the well wishes, gifts, etc. I got jewelry, nano nano, Wii (and lots of other stuff) for my birthday!!~! *Doing the cabbage-patch* That's right, made out like a bandit! Check out my flowers ....

Other than that, not much else going on. Bored like usual. Til the next post ...

I'm back ...

I have decided to return to this blog. After more than a year hiatus, I thought I should start writing to some of my devout readers. LOL. Of course I really don't have much to say that is of value, but apparently, my rambling is enjoyed by a few people.

Since my last post (January 2007), I've changed jobs twice. Not for the money, but for the sanity. So I've been at my second new job for one whole week. So far, so good. The people are nice, the place is pretty quiet and calm so far.

I'm learning how to deal with a facebook page. I'm getting the hang of it. So if you're interested, just look me up there. Its just another website filled with my gibberish.

I have been contemplating taking a trip to the casinos, but of course my better judgment has persuaded me not to blow all my money. I really wanted to go, its been almost a year since I've been there. Just want to eat and play. But today, I realized that there is a way to redeem all of my loses. Just check it out here. I guess if I am stupid enough to lose everything I own, I can still redeem it some other way. Just blame everyone else. Its not my stupidity, you let me be stupid.
